I'm goin' to DISNEY WORLD!

March 15th, 2007

Kristi and William and Kolton and I headed to Animal Kingdom at Disney World on Thursday the 15th. Kolton and I had not been to Animal Kingdom yet so we were thoroughly excited! It was a fantastic day and the weather could not have been more perfect! We walked the park and headed to see the Lion King in the theatre...we had AWESOME seats and the boys were cooperating even though we had to wait. THEN the unthinkable happened! About 10 minutes into the show Kolton decides it's too loud (as his Mommy I should have thought about that going into it...he does have sensitive ears) AND he has to use the potty! GREAT! It's about a miracle to get out of that show...you can't just get up a leave! ANYWAY...we made it out and it worked out fine...no accidents!

Just before going into the Lion King we decided to see if it would be possible to see Mickey Mouse. Kolton has wanted to meet Mickey Mouse for so long now...and there he was taking pictures and signing autographs! Both boys got to have their picture taken with Mickey! Needless to say...I was excited :).

Then we jumped on the Safari Ride. Kolton thought it was very exciting. He liked that we were in a jeep "off-roading" into the water and taking the corners with some speed. We did get to see some cool animals like crocodiles, elephants, zebras, and giraffes. I think he would have gone on that ride over and over and over! William was almost asleep during the ride...I think he took a 45 second nap!

After the Safari Ride we ended up in Dino Land and they rode a triceratops ride...William and Kristi sat in the front and tilted us forward and back (when it worked) and Kolton and I sat in the back and Kolton decided when we went up and down. That lever worked...he had us all over the place!

We had a great day!
Thanks for taking us, Kristi!

An Eventful Saturday!

March 10th, 2007

Kolton had a performance with "Not Just Dance" at the annual Pig on the Pond. I actually thought he was going to be performing more than he did. He and his classmates (3 other boys) demonstrated how to use "boomwhackers". They were supposed to play "Mary had a Little Lamb" but one of the boomwhackers got lost in the transport so they weren't able to show off as much!!

He did awesome though...he walked right up there when it was his turn...no hesitation at all!

Pig on the Pond has a cool kids section and rides that Kolton insisted upon! He is just a little daredevil...he will hop on a ride he's never tried, at least once anyway. But the "Screamer" ( I totally made that up because I don't recall the name of the ride) he liked enough to ride twice. Once with me and the second time with Granddaddy.

After riding until the tickets ran out...he opted to do the kids workshop at the Home Depot table. Thank goodness we had Granddaddy to help make the cool stock car. Kolton did put all the wheels together by himself though!!

That evening Kolton and I made ourselves at home at Patrick, Kristi, and William's house. We had some pizza and ice cream and the boys went wild!!
Here are some pictures of our "crazies"!

Strawberry Festival!

March 8th, 2007

Kolton, Matt, and I thought it'd be fun to go to the Strawberry Festival with our good friends Patrick, Kristi, and William. It was an awesome day...the weather was definitely cooperative. Of course we had to spend $20 to eat when we first got there..but we needed some fuel to get us through the day with our very active children!!

The boys totally loved the tractors...all the boys :).

Kolton rode as many rides as we would let him...
He went on some all by himself and that was definitely a first! He had a great time!

Family Day at Paradise Park!

February 28th, 2007

Kristi Smith organized a Family Day event and provided an option for all of us to get together at the same time! It was a fun day for the kids to run and play and the adults to have * a little* conversation :)!

Here are some great pictures from our day!!

How much fun can two kids have??

February 27th, 2007

Charise and I got the boys together...again! I couldn't stay long because of my crazy work schedule but Charise offered to let Kolton stay at their house and play until I got off. Then she got REALLY brave! She and her husband, Russ, took the boys to Walmart where they each picked out a toy and a balloon. Then they stopped and got them happy meals at Burger King before bringing Kolton home! As you can imagine....he had an awesome time!

Here are a couple of pictures of the crazy boys eating popsicles at Jacob's house!
